 Description of All Tests

  • A pan-cancer highly sensitive test evaluating 1229 cfRNA mutations and 1004 cfDNA mutations.

  • Isolate, count, and analyze circulating tumor cells. Ideal for monitoring patients with breast, colon or prostate cancer.

  • DNA & RNA test analysis of over 500 genes for mutations, copy number changes, fusions, TMB & MSI in FFPE tissue.

  • Methylation profile analysis is a powerful method of molecular analysis of brain and CNS to improve the classification.

    Background Information:

The Laboratory of Pathology, National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health (NIH), performs CLIA/CAP certified methylation profiling for tumors of the central nervous system (brain and spine) as a nonpaid expert to disseminate information. Methylation profiling, using the current classifier (published in Capper et.al., Nature 2018. PMID: 29539639), can in many cases help confirm or clarify a diagnosis and/or provide relevant subtyping information for a variety of CNS neoplasms. It is important to understand that the Laboratory of Pathology does not render opinions or interpretations about a patient’s clinical treatment plan or address medico-legal questions. We are not a medical provider to non-NIH patients beyond the purpose of providing a diagnosis. Our focus is solely on the diagnostic considerations regarding the pathology case submitted to us. Also, please note that review of cases by the Laboratory of Pathology is accepted in support of our mission to serve the public with the dissemination of information to the extent that we are able under our laws, policies and available internal funding. If selected, your submission will be reviewed by neuropathologists who will make every effort to integrate the clinical, histologic, immunohistochemical, and genomic features along with the methylation classifier results into an integrated histo-molecular diagnosis. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.

  • Evaluates ALK, RET, ROS1, NTRK 1,2,3, and MET exon14 skipping mutation in FFPE tissue.

  • Full coverage of NCCN recommended variants for lung cancer, with results in 2-3 days.

The biomarkers are EGFR, ALK, KRAS, ROS1, BRAF, NTRK1/2/3, METex14 skipping, RET, and HER2. Additionally, PD-L1 testing is recommended to guide the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors.

  • Immunohistochemistry identifies protein levels in tissue cells.

It's a combination of histology and immunology that helps pathologists diagnose diseases, such as cancer, and predict treatment responses

  • In situ hybridization (ISH) is a laboratory technique that finds and identifies specific DNA or RNA sequences in cells. Provides insights into gene function and disease processes.

    • OnkoSkan™ is a non-invasive blood test to help detect and monitor cancers.

    • The OnkoSkan™ lab test accurately measures hPG80 (circulating progastrin), which is differentially expressed in blood samples from patients with various types of cancer compared to healthy individuals.
